In Search of Oldton

When I started this search, all I had to go on was one digital image of my home town that I had stumbled across on the Web.
It was taken in this area of the map. I recognised the scene because there was the garden wall I used to climb and the tall beech tree I used to hide under. Subsequently I have been sent a second photo of the same scene at a different time of year - evidence of how things change and disappear over time.

This is the place I call home, although I have decided to share it with Jim Andrews' dad, since - as Jim points out - home "is less a physical place than a state of mind".
