Let's face it, though, we don't know much about what goes on round the back of shops in general. And would we really want to?

Interesting that the Oldton archive contains several memories from shoppers, but none from shopworkers. The consumers have outlived the workers. I am putting Michael's Leigh's Oldton contribution here because there is nowhere else to locate it - and it looks like it might be made out of the kind of scraps and offcuts that people leave outside the back of shops.
