In Search of Oldton

I like noodling around with software. Chiefly because I hate reading instruction manuals.

The most boring people I met on my search for Oldton were the local historians, archivists and ancestry buffs who seemed only interested in pinning down my lost town like a butterfly in a glass cabinet.

I liked the people who were more like children, chasing the story with their nets, enjoying a zig-zag run across the shared imaginary terrain and not worrying unduly about ever catching anything.

The whole point of most online adventures is to *not* know what the next link will bring; to be unable to guess the next card in the pack.
